INTRODUCTION
Nick Leonardus van de Wall is a Dutch DJ and producer who comes from humble beginnings, but by harnessing the power of his talent and passion, has carved his name into the dance music hall of fame.
Afrojack does not shy away from experimenting with different musical genres and he has mastered all genres ranging from Dutch house, electro house, progressive house, future house and big room. He is associated with legends of the industry like David Guetta, Major Lazer, John Martin, Chris Brown, and many more.
He owns a record label, Wall Recordings, which is one of the most prestigious labels in the music industry that celebrates the new, emerging talent. Afrojack has worked with many other labels like Armda, Island, Spinnin’, Revealed, Jam, and others. He is also the proud CEO of LDH.
INVOLVEMENT IN IBIZA
Ibiza is an island where all music lovers gather to celebrate music in its purest form. Cream is an event organised on the island for all trance, EDM and big room enthusiasts. This party brings together all the legends of the electro and house music industry, (please note that Cream has not made an appearance on the island for a few years now)
Afrojack was a huge part of the successful season of this exclusive event held in 2018 and he performed alongside some of the most iconic artists like Hardwell, Steve Angello, Diplo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and others. He is expected to perform at this event in the upcoming years too.
Afrojack has also been involved with the iconic Ibiza institution, F*** ME I’M FAMOUS in Ushuaïa, led by the internationally-recognised star, David Guetta. Afrojack played at this popular party in 2019, along with other successful performers like Don Diablo, Jonas Blue, Oliver Heldens, Glowinthedark, and many others. Afrojack’s talents were recognised as soon as he entered the competitive dance music industry, and he received many notable accolades and titles for his masterpieces. He won a Grammy Award in 2011 for Best Remixed Recording in the Non-Classical category. He also received nominations for Best Rap Song in 2012 and Best Remixed Recording in 2011.
The artist also bagged the prestigious Best Dutch Act Award by MTV Europe Music Awards in 2011 and was nominated several times in different categories. He also secured great rankings over the years in the DJ Magazine top 100 DJs list.
Afrojack’s tracks roar all over the world in the best and most exclusive clubs. His most widely listened-to tracks of all time are Hero, Anywhere With You, Up All Night, Sad, Ten Feet Tall, Stay Mine, and Hey Baby.
