INTRODUCTION
Andrew John Clarke, a.k.a. Andy C, is a British DJ and producer who has revolutionised the drum and bass genre. Andy C started experimenting with different music genres as a teenager; he developed his sublime talent in a garage studio and honed his impeccable music skills .
When he was 15, he co-created the deeply admired track, Valley of the Shadows (with Ant but under the Origin Unknown alias). From there, he started getting well-deserved recognition for his work and his DJing success began to skyrocket. Every show, every club, every party raved at his creations.
He collaborated with the famous names of that era and began creating dancefloor smashes.
Andy co-founded RAM Records in 1992, a label which has provided many budding artists with a credible platform that launched them into exciting, professional vistas.
INVOLVEMENT IN IBIZA
Andy C is one of the first choices of all party organisers who intend on hosting a large crowd; his name created a frenzy in the industry and his fans fly from all corners of the world to see him perform.
In Ibiza, he is a part of the glamourous line-up for Together. This event is a true celebration of house, drum & bass, and pure dubstep music. The Together lineup regularly includes names like Diplo, Shy FX, Gorgon City, Major Lazer, Fatboy Slim, DJ EZ, Wilkinson, Skrillex, Dimension, Sub Focus, and many more.
Andy C also launched his legendary #ALLNIGHT concept, which he debuted in Ibiza in 2019. This unforgettable night witnessed the legend himself perform for 5 hours straight, making history for all the drum & bass fans out there. It is still unknown if Andy will makes an appearance in Ibiza in 2023, but watch this space for upcoming dates!
HITS & AWARDS
Andy C won his first award in 1993 for the Best Hardcore Tune at the Hardcore Dance Awards, where he also received a title for the Best Newcomer. The exceptional artist has been crowned the Best DJ at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards for many years in a row and holds many other significant accolades.
In 2019, Andy won the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs — Highest Drum and Bass Award. In 2013, he bagged the Ambassador of Bass Music at the Bass Music Awards, and his label received the prestigious nomination for Best Label, several years in a row.
In 2002, Andy’s single Body Rock reached 28 in the UK Singles chart and was one of the most popular drum and bass tracks for the entire year. His top tracks of all times include Ghost (ft. DJ Rae), Boom (ft. Tonn Piper), Major Lazer – Get Free (Andy C remix), Back & Forth and Workout.
