INTRODUCTION
Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe founded Basement Jaxx, an English electronic music duo in 1994 to explore the dimensions of music genres like electronic, UK garage, house, and big beat. They gained immense popularity in the mid-1990s and revolutionised the way people listened to and enjoyed electronic music.
The duo got its name from a regular club night they hosted in Brixton, London. They thrive on their sense of organised chaos, and diverse sounds and ideas.
They are associated with distinguished labels like 37 Adventures, Interscope, PIAS, and XL. The talented duo also founded Atlantic Jaxx recordings, a record company originally based in Camberwell and later Brixton.
INVOLVEMENT IN IBIZA
Basement Jaxx has carved its name into the club and party house scene of Ibiza, and their fans cannot feel the true essence of electronic music without witnessing one of their iconic performances. This pair is also ready to perform at Glitterbox, a well-known brand famous for organising memorable house parties. The anticipated line-up includes Purple Disco Machine, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, Honey Dijon, Dimitri from Paris, Derrick Carter, Fatboy Slim, Masters at Work, and Armand Van Helden.
This talented duo can also be seen performing at the Defected parties hosted in super-club Eden, Ibiza. This event has been home to many renowned DJs like Sonny Fodera, Danny Howard, and of course, the legendary Basement Jaxx.

The remarkable duo has been recognised for its unmatched music creations and they have received several accolades. In 2002, the pair won the NME Award for Best Dance Act. They also bagged the Brit Awards for Best British Dance Act in 2002 and 2004, and the DJ Award for DJ’s Band of the Year in 1999. In 2015, the talented duo also received the MTV Video Music Award for Best Live Performance.
However, the highest point of their career came when they were awarded the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Dance/ Electronic Album (Kish Kash) in 2005. This was a true recognition of their immeasurable potential and capability.
