JAMES HYPE
INTRODUCTION
James Edward Lee Marsland, aka James Hype is a British DJ and producer who has been making waves in the electronic music scene in recent years. He has played at many top clubs and festivals around the world, including Ibiza.
James Hype is known for his eclectic style of mixing, which combines various genres of music, including house, bassline, hip hop and many more. He is also recognized for his technical DJing skills, incorporating elements of scratching and live remixing into his sets.
He is particularly skilled at using a technique called “cue point juggling” to seamlessly mix and mash up tracks on the fly, creating unique and dynamic live sets.
In addition to his technical skills, James Hype is also known for his ability to read and engage with his audience, creating a fun and interactive atmosphere at his shows. He often incorporates elements of live remixing and sampling into his sets, using drum pads and other equipment to add extra layers of sound and create exciting build-ups and drops.
He is the founder of Stereohype label and has also release many tracks on Warner Records.
INVOLVEMENT IN IBIZA
Ibiza audiences are known for their love of dance music, and James Hype’s high-energy DJ sets have always been well-received by crowds on the island.
James is a resident DJ at Hi Ibiza and in 2023 once again he will be performing every Friday at the party Future Rave. As always James will headline the Club Room whereas The Theatre will be taken over David Guetta.
His dynamic and eclectic style of mixing is well-suited to the high-energy atmosphere of the club, and he is known for getting the crowd hyped up and dancing all night long.
HITS & AWARDS
James Hype has released several popular tracks throughout his career, but one of his biggest hits to date is More Than Friends which reached the UK Top 10 in 2017, and Ferrari released in 2022. He has also collaborated with various artists, including Craig David.
James Hype continues to be a prominent figure in the electronic music scene and is a popular choice for club and festival bookings.
