Martin Garrix
INTRODUCTION
Martijn Gerard Garritsen, known by his DJ name Martin Garrix, is a Dutch DJ who is appreciated for his valuable contribution to the EDM, big room, progressive house and electro house music genres. Garrix started his career in 2012, when he signed a contract with one of the biggest label companies at the time, Spinnin’ Records.
He has also worked with other huge labels such as Musical Freedom, Wall, Republic, School Boy, Casablanca, Universal, and Epic Amsterdam.
In 2016, he also signed partnerships with RCA (USA), Columbia (UK), and Sony. In March of the same year, this talented DJ founded his own record label named Stmpd Rcrds.
INVOLVEMENT IN IBIZA
Martin Garrix has been greatly involved in the party culture of Ibiza. Garrix was affiliated with the well-known Hï Ibiza superclub in 2017 as a resident DJ. He was also a resident at Ushuaïa Ibiza, the most talked-about open-air club on the island, in 2016 and 2018.
Garrix also performed at Ushuaïa Ibiza during the summer season (July to August) of 2019 and gave unforgettable shows on the Thursday of each week. This unforgettable event basked in Martin’s huge electronic dance music beats, leaving the attendees in absolute awe. He was joined by several other musical geniuses, including Jonas Blue, Justin Mylo, Todd Helder, Julian Jordan and Lost Frequencies.

Martin Garrix has different awards and accolades to his name for his excellent work in the DJ and electronic dance music industry. Garrix earned the #40 World DJ spot in 2013, the #4 World DJ rank in 2014, and the #3 World DJ position in 2015, all awarded to him by DJ Mag. He continued climbing the ladder of success and was ultimately named #1 on DJ Mag’s list of Top 100 DJs consecutively for 3 years straight, from 2016 to 2018.
The artist’s most hyped tracks are Animals, In the Name of Love (with Bebe Rexha), Wizard and Scared to Be Lonely (with Dua Lipa).
