Ricardo Villalobos
INTRODUCTION
Born in Chile and raised in Germany, Ricardo Villalobos worked incredibly hard to earn the title of being a successful electronic DJ and music producer. He is famous for his exceptional work in the minimal techno, techno and microhouse genres.
Ricardo noticed his growing love and passion for music when he was just 10. Though he did not see himself as a musician at first, when he began creating electronic music, he realised where his true enthusiasm lay. He took inspiration from several well-known artists and started working on something more original and unique.
Villalobos has worked with many iconic record labels like Perlon, Playhouse, Frisbee Tracks, Sister Phunk, Lo-Fi Stereo, and Cadenza Music. He also launched his own label called Sei Es Drum in 2007.
INVOLVEMENT IN IBIZA
In 2023, seize the opportunity to experience Ricardo’s electrifying performances. He’ll be a part of multiple Pyramid parties at Amnesia, where his unique sound will light up the dance floor. Additionally, don’t miss the Pyramid Carry On event at Cova Santa, promising a magical night under the Ibiza sky.
The excitement continues into November with Ricardo headlining the TRIP Closing party at Club Chinois on the 4th of November. These events offer a chance to immerse yourself in the best of electronic music in Ibiza in 2023!
A few years back, when Cocoon was still on, Ricardo secured many gigs at the events held in Ibiza. He was one of the regulars and never failed to serenade the audience with his magical music. The impressive regulars’ line-up also comprised Sven Väth, Nina Kraviz, Ilario Alicante, Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, and other talented names.

Ricardo has received several recognitions for his remarkable creations, and he has been acknowledged for the work he has done throughout his career. He was awarded the DJ Award for Best Ibiza Set in 2008 and many other titles that are a testament to his impeccable technical skills. He also received a nomination for Best Music in the German Film Critics Award in 2018.
Ricardo has created music that fascinates his fans; the artist’s sets create a wholesome experience for the listeners, and he sends them on this amazing journey where they find a whole new appreciation for music. Some of his most famous hits are Dexter, Laserpresent, Lugom-IX, and 808 The Bassqueen.
